Lupa is one of our favorite local spots. Delicious food, cozy atmosphere, friendly service. It's our go-to for date night and a nice local place to bring out of town visitors. Favorite dish: The bucatini! But everything we've had here is great.

The service here is excellent! They hosted a group of 14 for our friend's birthday, and they were very attentive the whole night. We ordered a bunch of appetizers which were all fresh and flavorful as well as a series of wines. I ordered the rigatoni with pink sauce on their special menu, and the pasta was cooked perfectly. It was a bit heavy, and I wish there were more sausage pieces but overall it was scrumptious and satisfying. It was also just enough food.

Kind service. Incredible and unforgettable food! The lasagna was one of my only sources of joy while I was pregnant. Do not get me wrong, I loved it before during and after. I recommend eating half there and then taking the rest home and baking it to reheat for leftovers because it is heavy in all the right ways you want a lasagna to be! The black truffle mushroom risotto special they have is so smooth and tender. I also love their goat cheese salad as a starter to perfectly pair with the wine selection they have. I have enjoyed coming here with friends, family and for a date. It is just wonderful all around 10/10

Made an easy reservation for our party of 4 a couple of weeks out for a Friday night dinner. Noe Valley is a sweet neighborhood and though the restaurants and shops were busy, street parking was relatively easy to find, even at 645pm. The restaurant is super cute, split level so the space feels intimate. Diners closest to the street also get to enjoy a lovely fireplace. There's a patio out back with heat lamps, which hearty Bay Area people were enjoying, even on a 50 degree evening. The menu is not huge but the portions are. All four of us ordered red sauce items, all of which were yummy. Pasta was quite heavily dressed so sauce lovers will be extra happy. I want to try the lasagna next time, which the table next to us ordered and which looked terrific. My seafood spaghetti (a special) was FULL of seafood and cooked nicely. Prices are low for what you get. Service was great. Just friendly enough, just present and chatty enough, food was served piping hot from the kitchen. Staff seemed to enjoy working there, which translated into a really nice dining experience.

Well made neighborhood Italian. Ordered lasagna, my favorite for first time in a place as it includes a number of telling ingredients all of which were spot. Risotto with asparagus special was just a bit too dente but veggie notes were fresh and crisp, well defined despite peak season ending more than four months ago. Mexican doesn't have the same flavor as our delta-grown and the shoots don't hold up very well under refrigeration. Only item we would not order again was the tagliere misto which was tasty but didn't justify its price. Wine list was good on tuscan and our reserva had 6 years and was right to drink now (had to chill it as it arrived "kitchen temp"), surely do wish there was more piedmont to go around but that's not something lupa can fix. maybe most enjoyable item was the lemon tart dessert. overall nice cozy place for dinner. cozy is not the term for my first waymo ride later, as it lacked any semblance of the personal touch. i stiffed the driver on the tip.

A very solid Italian restaurant in such a cute area! They have a lot of open spots, but I made a reservation just in case! I tried the fettuccini tartufate, potato gnocchi, and the bucatini. All were super delicious - my favorite was the gnocchi because the texture was so soft! The fettuccini tartufate was also so delicious - I'm a sucker for the black truffle sauce. I also loved the mushrooms with the pasta too! The Bucatini was a classic - simple and also delicious. The texture was perfectly Al dente.

Easily my 5th time back & thought I could write a review based on consistency. When: Sunday Evening Dinner / 2 People. How: Made a res through Open Table @6pm. Where: 4109 24th Street / Parking sucks. Who: Me & Better 1/2. Showed up & was seated. Immediately noticed the restaurant was very short-staffed, so that helped set expectations. Once a server eventually showed up (again, short-staffed). What: 2 Apps / 2 Mains Apps: - BURRATA E SPECK - CALAMARI ALLA GRIGLIA Mains: - FETTUCCINE TARTUFATE / Fresh Pasta - PAPPARDELLE SUGO D'AGNELLO / Fresh Pasta My 2¢: - Both apps were great. Decent portions. The calamari was done perfectly. The speck had a slightly smoked flavor that complemented the burrata. Both had a lightly dressed arugula. Recommend fresh ground pepper on all. - Both mains were delicious & cooked to perfection; Aldente. The fettuccine's aroma of mushrooms was divine. The pappardelle held up to the thick & complex lamb bolognese (no chewiness to the lamb, which was perfect!). Recommend fresh ground pepper & parmigiana. No room for dessert, but I've had the TIRAMISÙ all previous times, and it's really good (B+/A-). I'll be back for sure. OH, nice back patio now.

Had a lovely dinner at Lupa -- a great neighborhood spot. A big draw for us was the large outdoor patio; hidden from the outside, it's a peaceful gem. The Italian fare was very satisfying and there was a very reasonable wine list. The staff is very friendly and accommodated our request to move to a more secluded table. We were able to find street parking in the neighborhood without too much trouble. Definitely recommend!

A cute Italian restaurant with ambient lighting and an outdoor patio seating in Noe valley. I had the fettuccine tartufate, which is fettuccine tossed in sautéed mushrooms and truffle sauce. Topped with copious parmigiana, the dish is an umami BOMB! I dined alone, and the waitress was so kind to check in often on me, and to top off extra cheese. Highly recommend for Italian food in SF.
